Based in Jerusalem, Israel
-
Shi Lowidt, born and raised in Kibbutz Hatzerim in the south of Israel.
From a very young age, she was passionate about working with art and the art world.
In 2017 she started studying glass art at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
Glass is the primary medium Shi works with to express herself and her art.
Shi creates conceptual works in which she expresses her inner world, thoughts, and feelings through the glass.
Her main technique is glassblowing and solid glass work. Working in The Hot Shop, she finds her greatest freedom of expression. She also works with glass using techniques such as flame and kiln work.
Most of Shi’s works are deeply personal. Still, Shi sees Art as a place in which works are presented to be experienced through the lens of the viewer's perspective.
